You may know this, but if you hold down the power button and quickly hit the round button on the face of the IPhone – you can 'screen grab' the current IPhone page (check in your photos for the screen grab). It's a good way to show your fav. apps. to others.

Radarscope – you've got to be a real weather geek for this to be worth the $10 download, but it's real-time doppler radar from all over the US. With the thunderstorms we've been getting in CO this spring / summer, it's been awesome.

Shazam – best music recognizer I've used on the iphone. I use it to remind me of music that I want to buy later.

FlightControl / HarborMaster – similar games that are quick and easy to play.

Kiwi – hands down the nicest wikipedia browser. Formatting of the info for the iphone is top-notch.

Amazon.com – because it has ready access to my wishlist so if I'm at a bookstore and want to put my hands on something I can. I also use it in the way intended.

Geocaching – because it's an irregular hobby.

Zen Bound – a surprisingly innovative game that shows off the graphics capability of the phone.

Pocket Informant is quickly becoming my calendar/todo app of choice, and although I can't see the stars that well in Chicago, the astronomer in me likes the Distant Suns app. Sometimes I just like a good "Woo," or cowbell, so I've got the Woo Button and More Cowbell for good measure. And Pogoplug rocks.

Yes, you can stream music on your iPhone. It’s fabulously well implemented.

I recieved my pogoplug earlier this week. *highly* recommended, extremely easy to install and configure; had it working in 15 minutes. I haven't tried streaming yet but there is an iPhone appl available.

Brad, here are my current fav's:

PhoneFlix (Netflix for iPhone), and DirectTV (prog your DVR from the bus)
WikiTap (simple wiki reader – i use it to settle arguments while on the bus:)
The Weather Channel (much better than Weather)
Flight Control (fun, very addicting game)
Ski Report
PayPal (settle up on the arguments that I lost on the bus:)
BofA (hate the bank, but love the simple, intuitive, quick appl)

I have all of those numbers (on my BlackBerry but before that on my many Palms) in a contact under my name. Not sure what the advantage of having an app for them is (unless it encrypts, too).

Been around a while, but didn't see it in this thread….Shazam may never leave my first page – been waiting for years for the answer to that "…now who is this artist again? question" 15 seconds and I get about a 90% hit rate – not too shabby….

I use A Personal Assistant by Pageonce everyday. My only complaint is it doesn't show pending charges on my bank account, but having everything else in one spot has allowed me to delete 7 or 8 apps; this leaves plenty of room for updating my first page.
