[...] The Web Is Working Harder For Me Quote: "For example, as part of my morning information routine, I go through my Gist dashboard. This is a list of all the new information that Gist has found from a wide variety of data sources about people and companies in my social network. It derives the social network from my email inbox, integrates it with my Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter social graphs, and then presents it to me in a way that is prioritized by what it thinks I find most interesting. The level of relevance to me is amazing now that I’ve had it running for a few months." (categories: gist relevance dashboard socialgraph socialnetworks socialsoftware ) [...]

Brad, do you think you could at some point detail your morning information routine. I have seen you mention it a couple of times, but to my knowledge you have not really gone into it. It clearly is something that benefits you and I often wish I had a set routine for devouring the constant stream of interesting info available online.

To me this is like trying to find ultimate transparency in everything, the core strengths and weaknesses because you have to know both.

But we won't get there until everyone can recognize what that means, after all we are like the data that we are learning from because we behave like it. We look for relevance, we try to associate, we try to interpret, we translate, etc.

The more we as people learn how to reciprocate the faster it goes. Its almost as though we are extending beyond our ability to do this with speech, at least thats how I feel sometimes when I'm on the phone with someone I've not totally evaluated yet.

I think right now we are just trying to meet as many people that "get it" as we can, but in reality everyone "gets it" they just don't know what "it" is.

Brad,
It sounds like some of these tools are getting (and maybe Gist is) to the point where setup consists of entering your name and perhaps your blog URL/social network usernames and that's it. Incredible! I spend almost as much time looking for things related to my interests as I do reading my usual sources of info, and it sounds like I'm going to have to check out Gist to help me with that.
