I'm told some people were turned away at the door for fear of violating the fire code, and Boston's digerati filled the 10th and 11th floors of Microsoft's New England Research and Development Center.

TechStars will operate programs concurrently in both Boulder and Boston starting in the summer of 2009. Applications for both locations are open now and run through March 21. Applicants will be able to specify a preference for either Boulder or Boston when applying to the program. The new program will be managed by Boston entrepreneur Shawn Broderick.70-640 exam

SY0-201 exam Boston-based mentors Colin Angle, Dan Bricklin, Don Dodge, Eran Egozy, David Beisel, Chris Heidelberger, Will CISSP exam Herman, Nabeel Hyatt, Dharmesh Shah, Warren Katz, John Landry, Rich Levandov, Bijan Sabet, Ronald Schmelzer, Bill Warner and many more have signed-on to the already impressive roster of TechStars mentors. You can see the full Boston mentor list here.70-290 exam

The decision to expand and create the Boston program was promoted by Warner, founder of Boston-based Avid Technology and Wildfire Communications, who had been interested in the TechStars model for some time because of the community-oriented mentorship-driven model that it employs. He visited the TechStars’ Boulder operation last year, got involved, and ultimately invested in one of the companies.

Coupled with Warner’s enthusiasm Boston became the logical next step for TechStars.

The TechStars founders have deep East Coast roots as well. Brad Feld is a MIT graduate who built, operated, and sold his early businesses in Boston. David Brown and David Cohen sold their first company to ZOLL Medical Corporation in Chelmsford, MA in 1999. Many TechStars mentors such as Howard Diamond, David Hose, Neil Robertson, Eric Marcoullier and Seth Levine are also very connected to the Boston entrepreneurial community.
