You can indeed select which feeds you want on your iPhone…there are details here:

Unfortunately you can't select an entire folder at once to select feeds, but you're not the first one to ask for that feature.

Can you get the NewsGator team to allow mapping directories/groups of blogs to the device so I can say "only share 'Must Read' with the iPhone NetNewsWire client" ? I love NetNewsWire, but NewsGator online has been awful for me
