I can take my Garmin out and generate a data set that 'proves' I ran a 2:50:00 marathon. That still won't qualify me for Boston.

Way to go Brad! I want to run a marathon one day but I can't seem to get past the 10-mile mark. Maybe one day I can do it…my parents ran their first (and only) at the age of 60 so I've got a few years left to train and still be younger than they were.

Congrats on on the finish! I've found that hills take far more out of me than I expect – especially constant hills like you just ran.

Dear Middle-Aged Marathon – I just posted photos of Brad crossing the finish line with the race clock showing 4:57:27 at http://amy.feld.com – but you're the kind of person who probably thinks I doctored the photos and that Brad just faked the other 12 marathon finishes, too. Life must be full of joy for you.
