Love this idea. It's like the Etsy of specialty foods. I think it breaks down the "store-shelf barrier" for small producers to get 'shelf space' and achieve sales volumes before they could via a traditional physical distribution model. That will motivate producers to go with Foodzie rather than a distributor, or out-of-my-car direct sales.

To Brad's comment about food porn, I think that is the direction they need to take this, and quickly. Put the expert photographers and journalists in place that can elevate this web site from a startup look-and-feel to having a unique, sensual editorial and visual style like J. Peterman, Saveur Magazine, Dean & Deluca (well, they did in the mid 90s before copied) or Daily Candy.
