Filtrbox is Hiring

Comments (2)

One of last year’s TechStars companies – Filtrbox – is hiring.  They are looking for a Java + LAMP developer and a Flash/Flex/RIA developer.  If you fit the bill and are looking for a gig in downtown Boulder with a great early stage company, drop ‘em a note at jobs (at) filtrbox.com.

    Brad,
I started using filtrbox since your last post about how they are doing a better job than google alerts for you, so I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, I haven't had the same results. One of my feeds for “Identity Management” shows the same articles everyday, but they eventually filter out. Some stick around for a week or so. Perhaps I'm not using it right? I just set up the feed with basic settings, similar to how I set it up in Google. Any suggestions?

Ash, thanks for using Filtrbox – I saw your comment and wanted to provide a few pieces of info.

    1. The Filtrbox dashboard provides free accounts with 15 days of article history so you can see recent articles and activity for your Filtrs. Be sure to set the list sorting by date (under the sort tab) to see the newest articles at the top. You can sort by a number of criteria in the dashboard.

    2. After the 15 days, the articles that are older are older than that are no longer displayed in your dashboard view, so this may explain why you see things “filter out”.

    3. You should be getting Daily Briefing emails in the morning with new articles found for your Filtrs – if you aren't seeing the emails but see new content in your dashboard please contact support@filtrbox.com and we'll investigate further for you. We can check for email bounces, etc.

    4. If you simply aren't getting the results you'd expect, lets look at your Filtr. Do you have “must contain” or “any of these words” entries that would restrict the results? Try using quotes around “identity management” to search for that exact phrase instead of searching for Identity +Management.

I'd be happy to help get you dialed in – just drop me a line directly at ari@filtrbox.com.

    thanks!
