Great post (as always) and thanks for the shout-outs.

You have an amazing product and team in Gnip. While I am bummed that I am not officially a part of the team — I really do miss working with my boy Eric — I am your biggest cheerleader and advocate. And, after meeting with Jud a number of times over breakfast and Wii Rockband since he started working on the project, I can guarantee he is a better fit for Gnip.

That said, Eric is just on loan Jud… We will be doing some amazing things together in the near future I am sure. Or better yet, I am thinking that we will all be working together soon.

Inspiring story! I agree with Paul Sweeney, your willingness to engage with techies and entrepreneurs is a wonderful thing.

There's a TechStars video of Eric Marcoullier and Todd Sampson talking with the 2007 TechStars teams about MyBlogLog and other entrepreneurial stuff. It's long, but it's well worth watching.

Great history here, thanks for writing it up! I share your enthusiam here, and I had a fun and easy time working with Eric and Jud to get Gnip integrated into Plaxo. It's going to be quite useful today, and it's clearly an important piece of infrastructure going forward!

Thanks for the story Brad. I've been watching from afar the rapid growth of gnip after working with Jud at Me.dium for almost 2 years. Congratulations to the whole team for maintaining good humor and ethic it takes to bring an idea to fruition. As I work with a new team on a budding venture, there are many lessons to be learned from this story; especially, is that it's the people that matter the most.
