Sadly, Randy Pausch died last night. But at least he went out in style.

As for "The Pirate's Dilemma," it may be a bit puffed out as a book, but it's great as a 30-minute presentation:

I tried reading the Billionaire's Vinegar, I love wine and love reading wine history, about to start the Mondavi book. But the Vinegar book for me, well it was plain vinegar, I couldn't get through the first 50 pages. I wondering if I should give it another shot…

Hi Brad, I have been a regular reader for couple of years now. The post on books – specifically one talking about Randy Pausch and his Last Lecture is the best gem that I ever received.

Thanks for the news on Randy. He certainly was awe inspiring. There is so much to learn from his lecture and his book. I laughed and I cried while reading "The Last Lecture" – it was an amazing read.

Hmmm I *am* a wine geek… I'll have to check out the Billionaire's Vinegar.

Glad you enjoyed Glasshouse – cool book. Not sure if you got it, but Stross just released Saturn's Children last week too. Oh and if you like SF… check John Scalzi's stuff. Excellent mental floss. Start at Old Man's War, then Ghost Brigades.
