Xilinx Colorado Software Engineers

If you are a software engineer at Xilinx that is caught in the current layoff, please drop me an email with your resume. Several of the companies I’m involved in locally – including Rally Software and Gnip – are actively hiring experienced software engineers.

Bummer. I need marketers even less than Xilinx. How could they possibly have that many marketing people.

Thanks for the “from the inside” view.

The "majority" weren't from marketing. Perhaps 6-8 were from mktg, but all groups (other than applications) were affected. At least 10-15 from engineering, a couple from tech pubs, some from the IT group, some upper-mid-level engineering managers, a few directors even. It was a hand-down from the new CEO: most groups must bleed a few. Some good people had to go, some really awful people (by virtue of what groups were protected) got to stay.

There were only 40 people at the XCO site affected.
The majority were in the marketing group. If you need marketeers, here is your chance.
