Soul Patch Live in Boulder on June 21st

Comments (9)

My partners Ryan and Jason are playing a gig with their band, Soul Patch, June 21st at Redfish Brewhouse in Boulder.  They start at 930pm – sharp.  It’s a onetime event, as the band resides in Boulder, San Francisco and Los Angeles.  They’ll also be releasing their new album.

I told them that I’d pimp their gig on my blog as payment for missing it.  I’m taking my awesome wife to Duluth, Minnesota to run Grandma’s Marathon for our wedding anniversary.  I’ll be running it and she’ll be cheering me on.  I don’t know how I managed to convince her that this was an appropriate thing to do for our anniversary, but I’ll take it.

Please come and rock the redfish with Ryan and Jason.

Wow!! I just listened to a bit of the music on their page…. I think a trip to Boulder is in order!

Reservations for dinner are made at the Redfish – plenty of time to eat and then enjoy the music.

Your wife will love Dutluth – we did our Honeymoon their 18 years ago – I fell in love then and have had an affair with Lake Superior ever since. I'd recommend driving up to Lutsen, Tofte (Bluefin Bay -great food Romantic atomsphere), and Grand Marais for fun shopping on their water front down town area. She will thank you for the ROMANTIC Anniversary.

I ran Grandma's Marathon in 1997, a great, fairly flat and very scenic course along the lake. Also one of the “coolest” (yes temperature) marathons you will find in June. Good Luck!

Eat at the New Scenic Cafe off the old Hwy 61. You'll run by it. Best food in Duluth, MN.

Thanks Aaron. I'm betting that I won't stop during my run, but maybe we'll check it out on Sunday.

Euh…yah. Don't stop during the run. If you have time to do some hikes while you're there there are several great state parks very near downtown Duluth. Jay Cooke is a great one (just to the south). Going North of Duluth there are many other fantastic one's too. Gooseberry is near. Temperance is one of my favs though it's further North. Although, after the marathon I'm not sure you'll be up for hikes most of these have some really gorgeous waterfalls accessible with a short walk. :-)

Hikes? Hikes! Are you nuts? I'm going to lay in bed and have Amy bring me ice, food, drinks, and the TV remote control after the marathon.
