Heather and I will have to consider Life Dinners. We've talked about instituting some sort of regular "date" where we can both talk uninterrupted for few hours. That's tough to do when you have small children. I like the idea of gifts as well; I want one of those remote fart machines.

Wow, my first comment and it's about lingerie. Got to admit, I'm a huge fan! Other than that I'm in complete agreement. Submitting from Mary Jane where Pam and I are in Bob's Mogul camp. With 8 & 9 year-olds, we work hard to make sure we still focus on us. It helps when your spouse is your best friend.

I'm similarly habitual and like rhythms, but I think the most powerful gifts and moments are unexpected. "Thank you" when it's expected usually has less impact than "thank you" at an unexpected moment.
