It was an amazing scene. Our venue was packed. Lines around the building, standing room only. It was overwhelmingly in favor of Obama. Our precient was 106 for Obama, 27 to Clinton – sending 6 delegates for Obama and 1 for Clinton.
Beyond the crowds the process itself was incredible. People actually raising hands for votes, someone walking up the isle to count. Normal citizens stepping up to volunteer to be a delegate to the state conventions – giving two minute speeches on why they want to participate and be a leader for change. Pretty inspiring I would say. I wish my kids were a tab bit older to have witnessed such an event.
