Hi – I am a Stupid Patent

Comments (3)

A day doesn’t go by without yet another stupid software patent appearing.  At least people are writing about them.

Amazon (via A9.com) just received a patent for Error processing methods for providing responsive content to a user when a page load error occursPrior art disclosure only goes back to 1999.  This one should be easy to gut if anyone feels like it.

The best part about this patent are all the entertaining comments on Slashdot about it!

Patents are issued only on Tuesdays, so at least six days a week go by ….

It is funny, but amazon is probably going to make a mil on this somehow.

How about this complete joke by the retards from the Staples retail store operations (POS) team: http://www.wipo.int/pctdb/en/wo.jsp?wo=2007089509

They have very professionally developed, albeit a bit outdated, NSB POS software running at their stores. And now the arrogant Pakistani fraud is trying to convince them that they can do a better job in house. The patent.above is one example of insanity they produce.
