The bad part about the news telling us that we're getting snow in Denver is that the silly drivers come out of the woodwork and think a light dusting of snow means they should drive 40mph on I-25!!! The snow in Keystone looks like it's going to be fantastic for your nephew to go skiing in a couple of weeks!

Weather folks kept saying we were going to get "slammed" with 2 – 4" of ice Monday of this week, then we ended up with nothing but rain.

Now we're supposed to get 4-8 inches of snow starting in a few hours.

I believe the storms are definitely getting worse. Maybe it's just age bias, as I am younger than most of my peers, but I can't remember us ever getting this much ice/snow.

golly, it's nice to get something other than 70 degrees and sun every freakin' day here in Colorado (admittedly, Denver, not the mountains). Even a little overcast now and then is a welcome relief.

In other news, not a cloud in the sky and sunny here in Southern Cal.

But I do miss my Colorado snow. Never will I forget waking up in Boulder, looking out my window, seeing white stuff fall, and thinking, "Holy christ. I'm fucked."

45 minutes to Eldora (small), 60 minutes to Copper, 90 minutes to Keystone / Abasin, and 2 hours to Vail / Beaver Creek.
