I think essentially the world is going to get divided into Exchange users and non-Exchange users.

Here is another example where that simple choice has divided you. I remember the Vista decision was largely because Entourage on the Mac blows so hard, despite some other wonderful things. Now the same with the iPhone.

On my end, I’ve kicked Exchange to the curb, and never been happier. If you really need push email — Yahoo offers it (for free) for the iPhone — it syncs contacts/calendar with Yahoo as well.

Just a reminder of the ripple effect of pain to the rest of your computing existence that Exchange causes.

@Michael – thanks for the offer. We got two of them working (Ross’s and Ryan’s) so I’ve got plenty of chances to play around with it. Unfortunately, that’s where it’s going to end for me – it’s already clear that the Exchange integration is weak (via IMAP instead of ActiveSync) – so I’m going to stick with my Dash.

Brad, we had some trouble activating iPhones on a business account and had to switch to a regular family plan. Is this new service or a transfer? Firewall problem maybe? I’ll come kick the phone’s ass tomorrow if you want… you need to experience it.
