We Are The Web
Great video on the essence of the web today from Michael Wesch – an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Kansas State University.
I love the title – The Machine is Us/ing Us. The neat question, of course, is where is the web going to be tomorrow? At the end, Michael suggests that we need to rethink a few things, including copyright, authorship, identity, ethics, aesthetics, rhetorics, governance, privacy, commerce, love, family, ourselves. (Thanks Bruce for the pointer.)

Really great… the first time I missed the sound… the sound volume of the video was set to lowest… at least it started this way in my browser (IE7).
Wow. Forwarding this to lots of people.
Super inspiring. I’m so pumped to be alive right now!
Thanks Brad and Michael! I love the fact that everyone with a blog, social networking page, etc. can feel a kind of ownership for what Michael is describing in his video. Every time I post, a little part of me feels like I’m changing the world. Corny, but I think that’s a big part of the appeal of “Web 2.0″.
