What Language Does Your Dog Speak?

Mine speaks English.  But – when Amy and I spent a month in Paris last spring, we noticed that all the dogs spoke French.  My friends at Dogster and Catster noticed this as well – their sites are now available in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and Korean.  Ouah Ouah.

Ouah Ouah – reminds me of a chart I saw once showing how Snowy from Tintin barks in different languages … which I apparently can’t find at the moment, but can find the names of the main characters in different languages.

But it also does remind me of this flash bit in which people from different countries make the sounds that their animals make – http://www.bzzzpeek.com/. (Note the hard to notice arrows on the sides in each grouping to scroll to additional countries.

Or, if you’re just a plain ol’ chart person, then there’s Derek Abbot’s Animal Noise Page.
