I just recently read this book too and enjoyed it quite a bit. I had seen Joel’s blog before, but never really got into it. Our new CTO was reading this on our first business trip together, so I thought I’d take the hint and read it.

I have probably 50 bookdarts (http://www.bookdarts.com for those of you who don’t know about them) referencing various insights.

His view is a bit skewed towards the Microsoft perspective, but what can you expect from an ex-MS employee. He also covers entirely too much. You can figure that out from the title, which means that he can’t really give any in-depth perspective.

It’s a great blog. I enjoyed his writing. He is quite entertaining. It’ll be a good book for Terry to read
