My wife Amy loves to watch horse racing on TV (not bet, just watch the horses.) I’m lying on the couch resting from a very intense week (and catching up stuff.)

It just dawned on me that horse racing is “NASCAR for rich people” (just look at the stands.) That got Amy laughing (although I like NASCAR better.)

    I didn’t know that – I guess I like horse racing better (although NAHOR – the National Association of Horse Racers – probably supports Bush also since I’m sure there is some sort of tax deduction for owning a horse.)

    somewhat off-topic and, admittedly, i stumbled upon this entry by mistake, but since your wife is into horseracing, does she think that a horseracing blog would muster much interest? i was back in louisville over the holidays talking to a buddy who works for a major track doing web stuff. floated the idea past him, but he wasn’t sure if there was a large enough audience.

    I would definitely subscribe to a horse racing blog, and would think there would be lots of interest from people who don’t live near race tracks, and from people who do. Those of us who love horses tend to do so quite fanatically. I think you should create the blog and see what happens!
