ChangeThis Manifesto – Financial Fitness for Entrepreneurs

Comments (5)

Several months ago, I posted an article that I’d written for the Kauffman Foundation’s Entreworld web site called “Financial Fitness for Entrepreneurs.” It discussed some of the basic financial issues entrepreneurs starting a company should pay attention to.

ChangeThis just republished the article as one of their manifestos. It’s in a very friendly format – if you liked it, please feel free to circulate it. If you haven’t read it, take a look. And – if you have any comments about topics you think I missed, feel free to post them here or email them to me.

One thing you may want to do as a follow up is a guide on how to select a quality person to handle the dreaded finance issues since you have already spoken on the attributes of a good CEO. I’m just a geek and have just started my venture, but the one aspect of business that worries me is being able to find quality people to fill the key CEO and CFO roles. I am a firm believer in not trying to be something I am not, but being able to decipher if the person in front of me is the correct person to help grow a business is a very difficult judgment call that could be costly.
