Gosh I hope you are not playing the drinking game I remember reading previously... 2 hour show right?

I think this episode was just a warning shot to any actors in any Fox show that think about asking for more money. "You want more money? We can kill you in the first 10 minutes. Hell - we can kill you, and two of your favorite co-stars."

Great start to season 5.

How long until you use the line "The only reason you're still conscious is because I don't want to carry you" with one of your portfolio companies?

It took a couple of minutes to explain to my son the history behind why Jack's, "I'm going to take you to the hospital after you tell me everything I need to know " was a satisfying ruse. The punch line to that scene certainly put to rest any fears that this season would deliver a "kinder, gentler" Jack back to the show for this all-nighter. What do we think about Derek-- loser or incipient good character?

Watched it thanks to your encouragement and enthusiasm. Had a major deja vu deluge though...did a post on it as well. Thanks.
