Brad – it is so wonderful seeing someone as influential as you supporting such a wonderful cause. The more people we can get talking openly about this issue to continue breaking the stigma, the better. I’m actually on the board of a Boulder organization, Second Wind Fund of Boulder County (www.swfbc.org) (have you heard of it?) that helps Boulder County youth 10-19 years old who are at risk for suicide get the services they need… youth who wouldn’t have access to these services otherwise. If you would ever like to meet up and discuss the organization, the issue as a whole (I have a personal experience that makes this issue near and dear to my heart), etc., please feel free to contact me: kristen.m.keller@gmail.com. I’m going to do my best to attend this meetup on the 26th, so perhaps I’ll see you there. And if you, Sally, Amy and anyone else you know would be interested, Second Wind Fund of Boulder County is actually having a Halloween costume dance party/silent auction fundraiser on Oct. 29 in Boulder. More info is available at swfbcparty.eventbrite.com. Thanks again for your support in this very important cause.
